Minutes of IPv6 Project Meeting on January 22, 2016

  • Date and Time: PST 8:00am / UTC 16:00, Friday January 22, 2016
  • Chair: Bin Hu (AT&T)
  • Participants:
    • Iben Rodriguez (Spirent)
    • Meenakshi Kaushik (Cisco)
    • Prakash Ramchandran (Huawei)
    • Sridhar Gaddam (RedHat)
    • Tim Dalton (CableLabs)
  • Roll call
  • B Release Status

Bin gave an overall update of B release status based on daily scrum. Basically:

- Installers:

. Code freeze not achieved yet as of now.
. Apex and Joid are ready for code freeze. Some bug fixes and integration with Contrail are still ongoing (due to dependency on some Python packages). RedHat (Dan R) and Contrail (Stuart M) are working on it
. Fuel needs more time to get it ready.
. Compass unknown.

- FuncTest and YardStick:

. FuncTest had several stable runs in the past 24 hours. But the stability of result is an issue. Orange POD 91% ok, and Intel POD 35% ok.
. Different ODL package has different result (depending on ODL version)
. Yardstick still troubleshooting ODL scenarios (no successful run yet).

Depending on how well those issues will be solved in the next a few days, Debra needs to give a report to TSC on Tuesday, and we can imagine a debate on TSC. So there is a possibility of postponing B release.

Apex, Compass and Fuel supports scenario *.3 and *.4 (OS + ODL-L2). In addition, Compass, Fuel and Joid supports pure OS.

  • Status of Deployment in Huawei's Pharos Community Lab

Completed

  • Status of Testing (Yardstick)

Automated testing on pure OS environment is completed. Code of OS+ODL-L2 environment is completed. Kubi will continue to debug once Compass is ready to deploy OS+ODL-L2.

All are encouraged to review the documentation, and try to install it and give any feedback.

We need to keep synchronized with installers for any update of our documentation due to the change of installers:
- deployment command and parameters
- sourcing tenant credentials
- naming of external networks
- disabling security groups in OS
- etc.

  • Future Planning

No update

  • AOB

Iben gave a demo of how to use Ravello system.

Action items:
- Iben introduces Sridhar to contact for RedHat account of using Ravello system
- Iben double checks with Narider for ODL-L2 support in Joid

Meeting adjourned.
