The author was absent, and this proposal was postponed.

Fatih (Ericsson) presented Release Engineering proposal.

There were questions regarding role, responsibilities, relationship, and boundary among different projects such as Octopus, Genesis, Releng, FuncTest etc. The clarification didn't seem satisfactory to those who asked the questions.

Bin suggested to continue the discussion on the mailing list in order to give other proposals opportunity to present.

Dan (Redhat) presented Apex proposal. It is an evolution of Foreman-based installer to RDO manager-based methodology. Prakash asked what OS are supported. Tim said that Undercloud will support CentOS only, and Overcloud will support Ubuntu and other OS, but it needs community's contribution to make it happen. When being asked if Puppet will be no longer needed, Tim said that Puppet will still be used for configuration management, and Heat will be used for orchestration. It will be open for supporting all SDN controllers compared to only supporting ODL in ARNO.

Uli asked how to support Foreman installer. The plan is to support Foreman through patches in SR1. But Arno (Foreman) and B release (RDO-manager) are 2 orthogonal tracks, and there is no plan of backporting.

The consensus of the group is that Apex is ready for creation review in TSC.

Kevin (Cable Labs) presented the update of the proposal based on the discussion on June 25. Due to time constraints, the presentation did not finish. Kevin will summarize those updates in mailing list.

All other items are postponed to next meeting.

Meeting adjourned.
