      • Common CI Tooling

Weidong Shao and Jun Li (Huawei) demonstrated Zuul toolset.

Fatih (Ericsson) indicated that toolset itself is fine. The issue is that extra tools will add unnecessary complexity. Perhaps we can choose 1 or 2 tools from the toolset that is really useful in order to avoid complexity.

Daniel S (Ericsson) asked how it fits what we are doing today. Bryan (AT&T) seconded that what the problem this toolset intends to solve.

The conclusion is that because this is a specific toolset, the group recommends to work within Octopus project so that the toolset will be better integrated within CI framework and help CI solve the problems they are facing.

  • Draft Blueprints Discussion
  • Other cross-project topics

Tim I. (Ericsson) introduced this proposal, which intends to provide L2/L3 VPN services over MPLS BGP networks in OPNFV.

Dave N (RedHat) asked if this proposal was socialized with AT&T, because Margaret talked about this before. Bryan (AT&T) said that AT&T had presentation in OpenStack, and participated in Neutron, although he was not aware of who specifically in AT&T would be working on this. Tim said that he talked to AT&T too, although AT&T hasn't decided to participate in this project.

Daniel S (Ericsson) asked how this project could be part of B release. Tim said that coding is primarily in upstream ODL, which is almost complete. The only missing piece is the API at Neutron side, which is to be finished in a few weeks. The main task here is the integration and testing in OPNFV.

The proposal is quite mature, the work is almost done. The group reached the consensus to recommend for TSC creation review.

  • New Integration and Test Project Proposals:

Frank (Cisco) summarized what he introduced last week. Keith (Cisco) gave a brief demo. Frank also clarified that the framework is not limited to ODL. ODL is a starting point, and the end point is far beyond ODL.

Bin (AT&T) indicated that he socialized it with Trevor, Jose and Morgan. The test projects see great value of this project proposal, and will discuss how to fit into current test framework and help test case development in test meetings.

Keith said that he would attend test meeting to discuss how to fit current test framework.

The group reached the consensus to recommend for TSC creation review.

  • New Requirement Project Proposals:

Author was not present. Postponed to next meeting.

Author was not present.

Al (AT&T) gave background information that in ODL summit, they discussed standard test concept so that test results can be comparable. Thus the idea is to have an OPNFV project to work on the standard test.

Postponed to next meeting.

Inactive and postponed until author wishes to resume discussion

Meeting adjourned.
